John Henry Conrad (8 Jun 1841, IL - 26 Mar 1915, NE) served with Company G of the 38th Illinois Infantry. He enlisted at Camp Butler, Springfield, IL in August 1861 and served under W. P. Carlin.

On 31 May 1907, an article written by John H. Conrad was posted in the Craig Advertiser on the front page. This article was later reprinted in the Burt Co, Nebraska Plaindealer , 9 Jul 1970.
