George W. Dicus' name is listed as 'Diens' in the Adjutant General's Report and includes no residence. He was from Wenona, Illinois.

He is listed correctly in the regimental history by W. W. Calkins 1895.

George is buried in Wenona Cemetery and was a member of GAR Post 232 of that town. After the war he moved to Streator to be a blacksmith. He had served as a blacksmith while in service.
