Gabriel P. Miller Company E, 80th Illinois Volunteer Infantry

Gabriel P. Miller enlisted August 5, 1862 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was killed in action July 4, 1864 near Marietta, Georgia. His original burial was "six or eight miles south of Marietta, Ga by the road side." He now rests in the National Cemetery at Marietta, Georgia in Section F, Grave 582. He was moved there from his original place of burial. Below is a copy of a special order he received:
