Edwin Moon

Company I, 115th Illinois Volunteer Infantry

Was a private in Captain Newman's Company 'I' 115 Reg't Illinois Infantry. He mustered in september 13, 1862 at the age of 22 in Morgan County. Edwin was left in the hospital at Lexington, kentucky December 20, 1862. He was discharged april 4, 1863 at Louisville, Kentucky after signing a certificate of disability. He was discharged to enlist in the Mississippi Marine Brigade by Order of the War Department. Edwin Mon was a farmer, born in Salem, Marion County, Illinois September 22, 1839.
