Archibald E. Northcut

Company F, 33rd Illinois Infantry

Archibald E. Northcut was born January 1839 in Winchester, Scott County, Illinois, the son of Edward D. Northcut and Christiana Slagle.

He enlisted August 1861 at Winchester in Company F of the 33rd Volunteer Illinois Infantry. He received a bayonet wound to the right leg in 1861 at Arcadia, Missouri.

He married Eliza Anderson (Donelson) March 25, 1864 at Quincy, Illinois during his reenlistment furlough.

He was discharged as a private December 1865 at Vicksburg, Mississippi.

He died January 1, 1917 at Winchester, Illinois and is buried in Little Rock Cemetery, Plano, Illinois
