Woodford W. Peddicord

Adjutant & Lieutenant, 115th Illinois Volunteer Infantry

Lieutenant Peddecord, a son of the well known banker, Jasper J. Peddecord, of Decatur, Ill., was born and reared in that city. He was appointed sergeant major at the organization of the regiment, and was promoted adjutant to date from November 30, 1863, in which position he served till the close of the war. After that he engaged in business in Decatur, where he died June 18, 1897.
