Simeon Pettit Shaver Company E, 17th Illinois Cavalry

Simeon Pettit Shaver was born and raised in Northern Kentucky but somehow ended up in St. Charles, Illinois and enlisted in Co. E, 17th Illinois Cavalry. After the war, he returned home to Kentucky and resided there for the remainder of his life.     Submitted by Chris Fossitt
